Ember Chimney Sweep logs are a great way to maintain and clean your fireplace flue. Made from a combination of wood shavings and wax, they contain active ingredients which helps to break down soot and creosotte build up. To use:
- Wait for your fire to die down (very low flame or glowing coals is a good visual cue).
- Take the Ember Chimney Sweep Log out of the cardboard box, but leave on the paper wrap.
- Place the wrapped log on top of the glowing coals in the fireplace.
- Using a gas lighter or matches, light both ends of the paper wrapping.
- Once it is burning, add more kindling or firewood to the fire, allowing the firelog to completely burn down.
